PPR is modified PP. PP is the code for polypropylene, PE is the code for polyethylene; both are polyolefins. The difference is the molecular structure and the number of H is different. Polyolefin also contains PB, namely polybutylene.
The molecular bond of PP is stronger than that of PE, and the molecular weight is also larger; of course, PB is stronger. This determines the different performance of the materials.
PE has stronger toughness than PPR, so its low temperature resistance is higher than PPR; on the contrary, PPR has stronger high temperature resistance than PE. PE is used for water supply below zero degrees, PPR is used for hot water above 50 degrees, and they can be used interchangeably for water supply at normal temperature.
PE that can be used in a hot water environment is called PERT. It is a new material that has just been developed in recent years.

5. Good impact resistance: PE pipe has good toughness and high impact resistance. Heavy objects can directly press through the pipe without causing the pipe to rupture.
6. Reliable connection performance: The strength of the hot-melt or electric-melt interface of PE pipe is higher than that of the pipe body, and the joint will not be disconnected due to soil movement or load.
7. Good construction performance: the pipe is light, the welding process is simple, the construction is convenient, and the comprehensive cost of the project is low.
